Our Promise to Those Who Suffer a Loss of a Child

Mountain View realizes the devastation the loss of a child can bring to a family. Not only dealing with the emotional trauma of this type of loss but also having to face the financial costs can easily become overwhelming. We want to help.

Mountain View offers FREE services, whether burial or cremation to the families of Pierce County who have suffered the loss of an infant or child up to the age of 10. While we would wish there were a way to never lose a child, we know this is not possible. Our offer includes all services and merchandise necessary for either earth burial or cremation including: professional services of the director and staff, our chapel, viewing if requested, transportation within Pierce County, casket or cremation container, a burial space here at Mountain View, opening and closing of the grave, grave liner, and urn. There literally can be no cost to the family. Things not provided free of charge would be a memorial marker for the grave and items labeled as "cash advances" such as death certificates, minister honorariums and flowers.
