Donald J. Olsen, born 2-1-28 in Tacoma, Washington passed away on 12-4-12 after a brief illness.

He is preceded in death by his sister, Marion, wife Donna, daughter Linda, and sons Steve, Ed, Robert, and Ken. He is survived by son Warren, daughter Barbara, 13 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

To all, he was "grandpa". Donald served in the military as a young man, held several interesting jobs, then spent 40 years driving truck for Consolidated Freightways, retiring with over 2 million safe miles driven. He was active with the Teamsters throughout his career. After retirement he volunteered with the Pierce County Sheriff Department for 10 years and was active in local politics.

He believed strongly in helping those in need and regularly contributed to several charitable organizations. He will be missed by many.
