Della Jean Walters Our precious mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, Della Jean Walters, passed into her Lord's arms on December 25, 2012.

She was born in Puyallup, WA to Paul and Jessie Pearson on April 11, 1924. Jean was predeceased by her husband of 63 years, violinist John Howard Walters.

Jean graduated from Lincoln High School and attended business college. She worked for many years as a library clerk at Fort Steilacoom (Pierce) College, and also as church secretary for Trinity Methodist Church.
Jean enjoyed many activities during her lifetime, including mushrooming, caving, birding, traveling, beach-combing, and playing Scrabble. She played violin and loved classical music. Jean was an avid reader who also loved spending time with family and friends. Two of her favorite places to visit were Puget Sound and the ocean.

Jean leaves behind her children, Linda and John De Vore, Tom and Susan Walters, Doug Walters, and Cindy and Don Delzer. She also leaves her grandchildren, John (Sheri) De Vore, Matt (Paige) Walters, Heather (Troy) Vessel, Alex Walters, Meagan (Theareth) Sek, Jessica (Greg) Wilson, and Darren Delzer, as well as great-grandchildren, Katie and Nathan De Vore, Carter, Morgan, and Emersen Walters, and Madison and Carson Vessel. She will be missed by an extended family and many friends.

Her life will be celebrated at Mountain View Celebration of Life Building on Saturday, January 19, 2013, at 1:00 p.m.
