Obituary for Caroline A. Pederson

Caroline Pederson passed away on January 6th, 2013, after a courageous battle with pneumonia.

She was born in 1931 near Devil's Lake, North Dakota. As an older teenager she moved to Tacoma Washington to stay with her sister Agnes and there married Leslie Clayton Pederson. They made their long-time home in Belfair, WA, near Bear Creek. Leslie passed away in 1981.

Caroline worked as a kindergarten classroom aide and lunchroom aide for North Mason School District and also worked for many years at the Bear Creek Mini-Mart. She attended the Belfair Baptist church and loved seeing friends and going to bingo sessions with Oscar Evanson. Caroline also loved eating burgers at Jimmy D's and handing out cookies and chatting with the neighborhood children.

Caroline's son Kieth passed away in 2009. She is survived by her three daughters, Gwen Hageman, Linda Joner, and Christi Irons, a daughter-in- law, Sandy Pederson, 14 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.

There will be a memorial service for her on January 20th at 2 pm at Harper Evangelical Free Church in Southworth, WA.

The family would like to thank the staff at Ridgemont Terrace in Port Orchard for their kindness and love for Caroline.
