Shirley Richardson Page, age 78, was a longtime resident of Lakewood, Washington until her untimely death on January 6th, 2013.

She was born on October 24, 1934 in Pinewood, South Carolina, to the late Samuel and Ruth Ann Richardson. Shirley attended A&T State University in NC, where she earned her degree and became Miss A&T. Her career included social work and employment at the U.P.S School Of Law for 14 years while being a devoted wife and mother.

She was a prominent member of the Tacoma Chapter of The Links, Inc, and an usher at Allen A.M.E Church. Shirley was a philanthropist, and devoted much of her time to volunteering and fundraising. She enjoyed traveling and lived her life to the fullest.

Shirley is survived by her two daughters, Linda P. Medina and Angela P. Lee, grandchildren Aaron and Maureen P. Medina, son-in-law Terry P. Lee, and partner David Wheeler. Shirley was an incredibly beautiful, loving person, and will forever be in our hearts.

Shirley Page was laid to rest on January 11, 2013 at Mountain View Funeral Home. A memorial for extended family and friends will be held at a later date.
