Michael Joseph Fina

(Mike) Died Feb. 13, 2013, peacefully, in the home he built for his family in Lakewood, Washington. His wife, of 71 years, Marian, and his 5 children were at his side. He was 91. Mike was born in Buffalo, New York Feb 28, 1921. He served in US Army as a Master Sergeant and was a recipient of a Purple Heart.

He was a self taught architect, and master cabinet maker who created beautiful furniture for his family. He was proud of his construction projects in the Seattle-Tacoma area, and was highly respected in the construction community.

He is survived by his wife Marian Hanson Fina, children Shirley Lane, Sunny Palmtag, Michael A. Fina, Joseph Fina, and Tony Fina, grandchildren David Harse, Greg Fina Ball, Kirsti Bruce, Timothy Lane, Robyn Lane, Dustin Fina, Erik Fina, and Anna Fina, and great-grandchildren Timothy Harse, Rhea Rocha, Kelsey Bruce, and Mathew Bruce. Private services will be held. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Tacoma Humane Society His life was filled with passion for his work and love for his family.
