Obituary for Lillian Wesner

Lillian Wesner
Lillian Ruth Wesner "Home with Jesus". Lillian went to her eternal home in heaven on Monday, February 11, 2013, to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, whom she dearly loved.

She was born in Benton Harbor, Michigan in 1923. In 1945 she graduated as a registered nurse from Mounds-Midway School of Nursing in St. Paul, Minnesota.

She served faithfully as a pastor's wife beside her husband, Edgar B. Wesner, who was a former pastor of Calvary Baptist Church in Tacoma, WA. She deeply loved her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. We will all miss our amazing mother and loving grandmother.

After raising her own family, she provided child care to young families who grew to love her as "Grandma Lillian". Her kindness and compassion touched the lives of many.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 55 years, Edgar B. Wesner, her father and mother, August and Clara Miller, and brother Rev. Edwin Miller. She will be greatly missed by her 7 children: sons Mark, Pastor David (Claudia), Stephen (Melissa), and Thomas (Jan); daughters Lois (Mark) Williams, Carol (Richard) Harvey, and Jerri (Kirk) Frederick; 16 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren, who were her greatest joy. She is also survived by her sisters, Evelyn Chaddock, Florence Miller, and Sherrill Wesner.

A celebration of her life will be held at Calvary Baptist Church, 6511 South C St., Tacoma, on Friday, March 1, 2013 at 3:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Guardian Angel Homes, 23102 E. Mission Ave., Liberty Lake, WA 99019, who provided her with compassionate care.
