What we learned from Marvel was to be gracious, loving, caring, and giving. She was the neighbor who was closer than family, the friend who gave only wise advice, and the selfless companion. Marvel never forgot a birthday and we knew she loved us as much as we loved her. Her quiet demeanor and warm smile always lent calmness to any situation. She was a part of the lives of five generations of Kempers. It was a loving and running joke that Marvel would outlive us all. We will miss her dearly and are convinced that we are richer because she was part of our lives yet poorer for her passing. May she live forever in the memory of those who knew and loved her.
